PHOTOGRAPHY CLUB FOR BEGINNERS, RIVERHOUSE, WALTON-ON-THAMES. SEPTEMBER - DECEMBER 2017

The spring and summer term courses have been very successful, so the Riverhouse has scheduled a new course for the autumn term 2017.

The course will consist of six studio sessions covering the basics of photography, such as rules of composition, shutter speed, aperture, depth of field and the characteristics of light, and of course the setup of your camera. Between sessions you have time to practise what you learn with support available throughout. Course material will be provided and is yours to keep. There are no requirements for specific camera equipment, although mobile phone cameras are not suitable.

This course is particularly suitable for those who have recently acquired a DSLR or compact system camera but have not yet moved away from the Auto Mode of their camera. Owners of compact cameras will find this course equally useful.

Sessions are planned on the following dates:
16 September
30 September
14 October
11 November
25 November
9 December

For more information, or to book your place, please contact tryphena@riverhousebarn.co.uk or phone 01932 254 198, or get in touch with me via the contact page.

I also offer 1 to 1 sessions (one or two hours, half days or full days) and three-day residential workshops for those, who wish to practise with my guidance. If you are interested, please contact me for more information.

An exhibition of photographs inspired by the landscape. Five photographers, Rachael Talibart, Jenifer Bunnett, Huw Alban, David Neve and Astrid McGechan join forces to exhibit a series of landscapes and seascapes that celebrate the natural world. Although the subjects and styles of the photographs vary, they are united by the photographers' passion for the outdoors and their desire to capture its beauty in their images.

We will be based in Keswick. The surroundings there offer great opportunities for photography and, hopefully, we will be seeing some autumn colours late in October. The group size is small (max 4 participants) so that every participant gets enough time and advice.

Price (tuition only): £285. Participants are responsible for their own transport, accommodation and meals. However, I am happy to arrange the accommodation, hopefully the whole group can stay in the same B&B.
