The Mill

This project took me to the Hildebrand Mill (Hildebrandsche Mühlenwerke) in Halle/Saale, a listed industrial heritage site by the river Saale that was torched twice but did not fall. After production ceased in the early Seventies, the owners' villa on the site housed a children's nursery, which I attended, and later a children's home. Many plans have been dreamt up over the years, but none have come to fruition yet. I'd love to see at least some of the buildings restored and preserved. Images NFS.
